The skill in practice
Effective Marketing
Turn real value into a reason to choose you.
Effective Marketing helps explain a supported capability to the right audience, reach that audience, and learn from the response. It connects positioning, proof, commercial copy, distribution, conversion, and sales without letting a persuasive story outrun the evidence.
The range
What it covers
- Positioning and proof
- Segmentation, alternatives, categories, differentiation, message hierarchies, objections, and claim-to-proof checks.
- Copy and conversion
- Homepages, landing and pricing pages, comparison and alternatives pages, content refreshes, campaigns, sales and email copy, funnel diagnosis, and experiment decisions.
- Content strategy
- Audience questions, search intent, topic clusters, channel selection, production priorities, and content maintenance.
- Launch and learning
- Readiness conditions, sales enablement, growth options, rollout guardrails, win/loss reviews, and adoption analysis.
- Service growth and sales
- Service offers, bottleneck diagnosis, prospect research, outbound plans, qualification, consultation, objections, and useful follow-up.
- Paid campaigns and CRM
- Lead campaigns, retargeting, spend-to-sale measurement, pipeline definitions, saved views, and idempotent automations.
- Social and professional presence
- Platform-native content, LinkedIn posts and social selling, consultant profiles, evidence interviews, voice, and market adaptation.
From request to result
How it works
Establish what is true
Identify the audience, the offer, available customer evidence, and the claims it can support.
Make the market choice
Choose the position, message, channel, or experiment and produce the material it needs.
Define the feedback
Name the signals that would change the decision and keep publication or spending authority explicit.
The result: A market-facing decision, message, or campaign grounded in what the product or service can prove.
Ask in your own words
Try a real task.
Give the agent the relevant files, source material, and constraints. Start with an outcome like one of these:
We have three customer segments and no clear position. Give me two or three materially different options with the evidence and tradeoffs for each.
Signup drops 60% between the plan page and checkout. Diagnose it before proposing a test, and tell me if this is even an A/B test question.
We are a three-person IT service firm with enough inquiries but few sales. Find the bottleneck from inquiry to delivery and give me next week's plan.
Choose the right discipline
When to use it
Use this skill for commercial communication and go-to-market decisions. Product research, pricing, and naming belong to Effective Product; editorial articles belong to Effective Writing; browser implementation belongs to Effective Web. The skill does not invent testimonials, results, or differentiation. Drafts do not authorize outreach, publishing, spending, or account changes.
For the complete workflow and routing rules, read the agent instructions on GitHub .
Add this discipline
Install Effective Marketing
With Node.js installed, run this command for an agent that supports Agent Skills:
npx skills add sebastian-software/effective-agent --skill effective-marketing
Then describe your task in the agent. This skill works on its own; add another when the work crosses disciplines.
For managed installations, pinned selections, and multiple agent targets, see all installation options or the DALO setup guide.
